The United Nations has established 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be achieved by 2030. Beginning with eradicating extreme poverty and ending with cooperative steps for implementation, the goals build on each other and contain targets for measuring progress.
In 2016, Sustainable Families Group, with the pioneering efforts of Susan Roylance, and alongside sister organizations, produced the book Family Capital and the SDGs. Dozens of authors around the world contributed to the effort. The book is an essential resource helping governments, businesses, NGOs, and civil society harness family capital in global development efforts. Each chapter targets a specific SDG, highlighting research and best-practices of how families are accomplishing the goals .
